March 2022Personal Statement
Ever since the age of 6, I’ve found myself drawn to the game of golf. I still struggle to figure out what exactly keeps bringing me back to it, but I guess that’s just golf. Throughout my time playing, I’ve seen myself undergo dramatic improvement in maturity. When I first started, I would throw a club whenever I hit a shot that didn’t live up to my unreasonably high expectations. Now, I’ve had coaches tell me they couldn’t tell if I was playing good or bad because of my demeanor on the course. I’m really proud of how far I’ve come, and I really pride myself on having a good attitude regardless of how I play. I enjoy the aspect of being on a team because I feel like my good attitude carries over to the overall camaraderie of the team and it’s exciting to contribute to something bigger than just myself.
