Hello, my name is Gordon Goetz and I love golf. My goal is to play golf professionally. This has been my goal since I started playing in the 6th grade. I am extremely dedicated to the sport and have a desire to be the best from everybody I compete with. I firmly believe in Ben Hogan’s philosophy of digging it out of the dirt. Ben Hogan and his amazing ability inspires me to practice 2-4 hours a day. In addition to practicing, I play a round of 9 holes every day. Furthermore, I make sure to play in at least two tournaments a month.
I have decided with my family that I should attend Florida Virtual School so I can play and practice more golf. I do very well academically and have a 4.0 GPA (and have had one since the 6th grade). I plan to graduate from college with a Summa Cum Lauda.
I believe in giving back. I am well on my way to having 100+ volunteer hours. Most of my volunteer work has been with the First Tee. The First Tee is where I learned the game. I also strongly believe in the 9 core values that they teach. I was also awarded the “Respect Plaque” from the first tee.
