My goal with my golf is to use it to attend an academically strong school where I can contribute to the golf team as a helpful asset. Currently, I am undecided on a major, but I am interested in the aviation field.
My determination and grit are my most valuable skills. I have learned in my golf career that the only way to change for the better is to work harder and smarter. When I began tournament golf during my rising freshman summer, I had some self directed anger issues in the form of negative thoughts. However, I learned to control them and use them to my advantage. I applied that intensity to my practice and began seeing steady improvements. As I continued to work on my game, I had some setbacks but continued to push through. Then during my rising sophomore summer, I won the Under Armour Tour Summer Nationals. To me, it is one of my proudest golf accomplishments because it showed me how far I had come in just a year.
My goals for my junior year are to win three events, finish 60 percent or more of my tournaments in the top 10, and lower my tournament scoring average to even par.
