Aidan Cohl '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a lefty junior golfer from Cumming, GA.  I attend Rivers Academy, class of 2023.  My school is great for golfers because we have a condensed schedule Tue-Thu from 8-12:30. Their schedule allows me time to practice and travel to tournaments without having to take time off of school.  I was chosen as an ambassador for the school to talk to new students and help people understand how Rivers can work for students that have a passion that they invest a lot of time in.  I am considered a “late bloomer”.  I am 5’2” and I weigh 117 lbs currently.  I do not let that stop me or use it as an excuse.  I choose to stay competitive by working as hard and as smart as I can in practice, with my coach, my mental coach, and at keeping my body in shape.  I just recently changed my driver and I am averaging between 270-290 yards.  I am lucky enough to have a home course, Golf Club of GA, that has a great par 3 course that I can use to really improve my 100 yards in game.  I am growing slowly and hope to get some more under par rounds in this year.  Outside of golf, I love to be outdoors fishing, and playing pretty much every sport with my friends. 

             I would be a great asset to your school because I am focused and determined, but I also like to keep everyone in good spirits and stay positive.  I have always been told that I am very coachable.  I listen and take to heart what is being taught to me. My parents raised me to be confident but not cocky and to always stay humble.  I’m a good student and I already know how to manage my time to make sure I can get my schoolwork and studying done while still having time to practice and work out and get to bed early to start it all over again the next day.
