My main goal in college will be to get the best education possible in the area I want to study. Education has always been important to me because I believe it will lead to many opportunities. Being in a competitive environment both academically and athletically are important to me. Having to compete with the best makes me want to do my best and push myself.
I feel that my character and leadership skills are what makes me stand out the most. While playing golf, I try to keep my head up and not let my bad shots get the best of me. Throwing clubs, cursing, and having an overall bad attitude have never been part of me. That behavior isn't fun, and it also makes it hard to recover later in the round. I understand that golf is a gentleman's game, and I respect the game, my competitors, and myself to make golf enjoyable. Playing unfairly makes me feel guilty. I also think that I can be a great vocal leader. I have lots of experience playing golf, soccer, and basketball for multiple years. Even while being a freshman on my high school team this past year, I shot the lowest round of the team and always tried to make sure that our team was respectable. I may not have been the oldest, but I think that my experience paid off.
I am always trying to improve myself in school and on the course. If I am able to play for a school in college, I will make sure that I am an important asset not just to the golf team, but also to the school. Even if I do not have the best scores on the team, I can promise that I will have the best character on the team and that I keep up with my school work to be the type of person that is always respected.
