Personal Statement

My goal from the day I started playing golf was to play in college.  My overall dream is to win the Masters and be successful on the PGA TOUR. I am a good fit for any school that I go to because I will not be out worked by anyone at that school. On weekdays that I have school I get out of school at 2:45 and I am at the golf course from 3:10 until i can not see my hand in front of my face it is so dark. On weekends I am at the golf course for 8-10 hours every day I don't have a tournament. I wake up everyday at 5 o'clock and go workout. Also when i get home from the golf course I do my homework until i am done no matter if it is 9 o'clock or 12 o'clock. You will not find a kid that has more passion and drive than I do.  To verify this you can call my high school coach he knows how hard of a grinder i am and how good of a person I am inside. My tournament scores do not show how hard i have worked from the past 4 years but one day it is going to be my day and click and they will finally show how hard i have worked over the years. If i do find someone at a school that i go to that is outworking me something will have to change so that i outwork them even if that means getting no sleep or waking up at  in the morning i will do whatever it takes to outwork anyone. My teammates at my high school make fun of my work ethic saying," Gage you practice 9 hours a day to go shoot 82," and they just laugh but I just don't listen to them and keep my head down and keep digging and grinding and one day they will regret what they were saying. I remind myself everyday about Michael Jordan he got kicked off his high school team because he was not good enough to play and the only thing he had at that point was his work ethic and that is how I am.  I tell myself daily that one day you will prove everyone wrong and you will be the one on top while all of them are at home watching you on TV one day. My most powerful thing that I have with me right now are God, work ethic, and imagination. The reason I say imagination is because we as humans have something that no other living thing has  That is imagination.  If I can see myself down the road I know I will be on top. The reason I say God is because I can do all thing through him who strengthens me. God is the only reason I am where I am today and where I am going in the future.  I also need to put my faith in him that he will lead me down the right path.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
