Sam Rogers '28 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Sam Rogers.   I am a 15 year old, 9th grader (freshman) at Lakeside High School, in Augusta, GA.   I am a scholar athlete with High Honors.   I am in the Pre-International Baccalaureate Program.  I am passionate and I aspire to be a college golfer and PGA Tour professional.   I also enjoy basketball.  Over the past year, I have worked on lowering my scores by specifically working on my short game, swing training, mental game, and strength/conditioning.   I also learned Aimpoint which significantly improved my putting.  Through my hard work, I lowered my tournament stroke average and scoring differential.   This past year, I competed and had great finishes in several golf tournaments through the SJGT (Southeastern Junior Golf Tour), GA Jr PGA, GSGA, and AJGA.  I also had a good tournament at the Future Masters in Dothan, Alabama and capped the year off with a first place finish at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour National Championship at Rio Pinar Golf Club near Orlando, Florida.  Though I had some success in my tournaments this year, I feel like I still have a lot of room for improvement.   I am now working with golf instructor John Tillery and I look forward to working even harder in 2025.   Thank you for visiting my profile.
