Personal Statement

I aspire to play collegiate golf, be a team player, and major in STEM in college with the ultimate goal of becoming an engineer. I continuously work to challenge myself by taking AP classes, serving on the Honors Education Council, as well as participating in multiple clubs including the Science Club, Squad M (math club), and Chess Club.

As a multi-sport athlete, I've played travel soccer, football, swimming and cross country in addition to golf.  I qualified for states each year while in high school for swimming, cross country, and golf. In November 2023, I decided to commit myself to golf and continue to decrease my scoring average and gain mental resiliency. I am consistently motivated to make modifications and gain patience in my game to excel like my dad, a division 1 baseball player, who is now in the NC State Baseball Hall of Fame.

Being the kid of two military officers, my strength is being mentally tough and I am working hard to gain the precision in my golf game. I am personally motivated to tackle each stroke with passion and adhere to the discipline this sport requires. You can count on me to be fully committed and keep improving if given the chance!

  • Rob Perry Championship (Aiken Chapter of the SCJGA)
  • 7/29/24 to 7/29/24
  • Championship tournament for the top qualifiers from both the Georgia and South Carolina SCJGA Aiken Chapter Summer Series. Shot 78 (36/42), finished tied for 7 out of 14 small but strong field of players. Course was around 6600 yards but played longer because of wet conditions with heavy down pours the last 5 holes. 9 of 14 fairways, 8 of 18 GIRs, and 27 putts. Course management was solid until it started to rain heavy causing me to misjudge club selections due to wet conditions. Chipping and putting were the strongest part of my game due to the greens being pure.
  • Camp/Event
  • U.S. Kids Teen Series
  • 7/20/24 to 7/21/24
  • Played in first two-day tournament. Finished tied for 4th out of 12 competitors. The course played close to 6900 yards. Shot 162 (80/82). The course was hilly, temperatures topping out in upper 90’s with heat index close to 110, but fairways & greens did play soft/slow throughout the tournament. Shot 36 through first nine holes but four bad holes the remaining 27 hurt my scoring opportunities. Chipping was solid but missed too many putts within eight feet to take advantage of good approach shots. It was a fun but tough challenge, looking forward to more two day tournaments.
  • Camp/Event
  • Aiken Chapter of the SCJGA
  • 7/17/24 to 7/17/24
  • Shot 76 (38/38). Finish #6 out of 20 golfers. 6400 yards, very firm conditions with temperatures in upper 90’s. 6 of 14 fairways, 10 of 18 GIRs, and 30 putts. Chipping was solid leading to 6 ups & downs. 2 total birdies but missed multiple bridie putts causing lost scoring opportunities.
  • Camp/Event
  • Aiken Chapter of the SCJGA
  • 7/02/24 to 7/02/24
  • Shot 73 (36/37). Finish #1 out of 21 golfers. 6300 yards, gusty winds 10-15 mph, a lot of dog leg holes with elevation changes, small greens, 8 of 14 fairways, 8 of 18 GIRs, and 26 putts. 4 total birdies and closed out the tournament with a downhill chip in for birdie. Course management was really good and stayed below the hole majority of the time. 5 up & downs, no double bogies.
  • Camp/Event
  • Aiken Chapter of the SCJGA
  • 6/25/24 to 6/25/24
  • Shot 74 (40/34). Finish #1 out of 17 golfers. 6500 yards, very firm conditions, 100 degrees with 5 - 10 mph winds. 8 of 14 fariways, 12 of 18 GIRs, and 31 putts. 5 total birdies and closed out the tournament with three straight. Course management was really good and stayed below the hole majority of the time despite the firm conditions. Two double bogies on front nine but stayed positive and rebounded on the back nine.
  • Camp/Event
  • GIAA Region 4AA State Qualifier
  • 4/04/24 to 4/04/24
  • 18 hole qualifier for GIAA State Tournament. Shot 81, 6500 yards, finished 5 out of 34 competitors. Made the State qualifying cut. Very windy conditions, (20-25 mph with 30+ mph gusts) with soft course conditions. 12 of 14 fairways, 12 of 18 GIR, too many three putts which caused my GIRs to be lost scoring opportunities.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
