During this 2022-23 school year, I am a junior at Northgate High School located in Newnan, Georgia. I have been playing tournament golf for the last 11 years. I mostly play American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and Southeastern Junior Golf Tour (SJGT) events. In the spring, I completed my second season of high school golf. I am the top-ranked golfer on the team, all county and all state. My class schedule consists of accelerated courses with a focus on college preparation. Despite a busy golf tournament schedule, I typically maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. I am the fourth child in a family of five kids, but I am the only one who plays golf. I have wanted to play golf my entire life and spend most of my free time practicing and working on my fitness. I am planning to study sports management or something in that arena when I attend college. I am also actively involved with my church youth group and participate in serving opportunities in the community whenever I can. I was active in FCA at my middle school before Covid-19 occurred. I like to play other sports, also, but golf has always been my first love. I would like to be part of a collegiate golf team in which I can really connect with the coaching staff and other players. I have always been a leader among my peers and really enjoy the team aspect of golf. I continue to host year-round weekly unofficial team practices at my home as my high school golf team prepares for this year. I love to encourage other players and help them work on their game even as we still make time for lots of fun.
