My collegiate goals are primarily academic and athletic based. I plan on studying business in college, more specifically entrepreneurship, and small business. My main goal in academics is to graduate with honors in the field I choose to pursue. When it comes to athletics I've learned to aim as high as possible and miss low. Whatever college I end up going to I want to be one of the best athletes the school has ever seen.
I played for the Eagle High School golf team which has the best players in the state and some in the nation. During my first year on the golf team, I learned quickly that I have a lot of work to do to compete. I practiced consistently during the summer and no matter the rain, cold, or conditions, I made time over the past 3 years to get where I am now; one of the best players in the state who also travels for national tournaments. Even though I have made some amazing improvements, I am not done. I want to make it to the next level and play for a great college. I thrive in environments where I have to work hard to prove my keep.
I have never been really book smart so it amazed me how other students could perform well on tests without a lot of work. This helped me develop a strong sense of work ethic and discipline as I had to study well in advance, and for longer than other students. If people knew how many hours I put into school and golf exclusively, they would probably think I'm a very boring person. I have a jam-packed schedule almost every day where I get no time to "goof off". To counter this, the way I express my fun side is through my personality. I love to socialize and joke around with the people I'm with. I think I am a very balanced, hardworking person who will be a great fit for any golf team.
