My name is Jake O'Neil, I am a sophomore at Fruitland High School in the state of Idaho. I will graduate in the class of 2019. I am 6'2" and currently weight 180 lbs. My current handicap is a scratch. I train with Paul Weyland at Falcon Crest Golf Club in Kuna, Idaho. In addition, I train with Casey Crowell every week. Recently I won the Idaho Junior Golf Association State Tournament (14/15).
My goal is to win Idaho State 3A golf, my sophomore junior and senior year, win an individual district championship again, play golf in college, and someday play professional golf.
I am a good canidite for a college team because I bring a great attitude to the course. I never put my head down and I will be sure never to let my teammates put their heads down either. I am a great teammate. Also I bring a solid GPA to the team.
I come from a very athletic background, my mother played volleyball at the Gonzaga University, and my father was a professional motocross rider for more then ten years. One of my brothers, Alec. Is the starting tight end for for Boise States football team.
My attitude on the golf course is simple. Nuetral or Positve. You will never see me throw a club. If I hit a bad shot. I know it is over and there is nothing I can do about it. Throwing a club or cussing won't solve any problems. It will make the situation much worse.
