The golf course has always been a place of peace for me, like a second home where I feel most comfortable. While I have only been playing the game competitively for two years, I already feel as if I was meant to play this sport. I have overcome a significant amount of adversity in my life, mainly health issues, which I feel is a testament to my determination and resolve. My character has been further defined by that which I have learned from my parents - the importance of leadership, a strong work ethic, and humility. I have applied these qualities in high school in the classroom to become a top 3 student in my class, on the golf course lowering my handicap to a 1.8 after only two years of competitive play, and finally as a teammate helping my team achieve an 8th place finish in state in 2015. Looking ahead to college, my desire is to pursue a strong liberal arts education in order to be able to make an impact in the lives of other people, while at the same time contributing to the success of a strong golf program.
