It has been a dream of mine to play college athletics at the highest level possible for my entire life. I played hockey until I was fourteen when I decided that my true passion was in the game of golf. Since then it has been a goal of mine to play golf in college and to further my education. When I started golfing going into the eighth grade I knew it would take everything in me to get to a point where I could possibly play in college and I was willing to put all of my time and effort into my game. My first tournament I played in I shot 126 going into eighth grade and from that day on my whole life has been about enjoying the game and relentlessly working on my game and getting better. Now four years later I am averaging under a 76 and have my handicap currently stands at 1.1 and I am still working harder everyday to get that better.
From an academics stand point my GPA is fairly low but it is trending upwards and I will be doing everything my Senior year to put myself in the best position possible to get a good education in college. My Junior year I took initiative to get a better education and get my GPA as high as possible. For starters I made honor roll Junior year which was my goal and I was very pleased especially with my second semester which keeps me optimistic for the future. I also joined the club Fellowship of Christian Athletes and I also won an election and was elected to the position of Senior class treasurer for the student government. So although my GPA may not be where I want it to be I hope that coaches and schools will see that I am moving things in a positive direction for the future.
With all of the progress I am making in my life I hope to find the right setting and the right college that will be beneficial for the rest of my life. If any coaches have any questions at all I would be more than happy to answer them for you. Thank you for viewing my profile.
