My name is Cam Kooi. I am seventeen and attend Westfield High School in Indiana. I am the oldest of three and the only boy in my family. My two sisters are athletes and our family loves spending our free time competing and golfing with one another.
Growing up, I have played a lot of sports. I ran a 13.1 mile mini marathon at the age of 11, played basketball through junior high, and played varsity tennis and golf in high school. Following my sophomore year, I turned my focus solely to golf. I decided golf is not only the game for me, but the greatest game in the world. I have poured my heart and soul into every swing I take and every practice session I have.
My goal recently has been to compete and challenge myself in golf at the collegiate level. I am keeping an open mind and I am open to all types of colleges. My long term academic and career goal is to attend medical or dental school. Accordingly, I intend to major in biology/pre-dental.
I know I can be a leader on any team and want to bring out the best in my teammates as we all grow together. I want to lead by example and be a positive influence to those around me. I am committed to putting in as much time and effort in the classroom as I do on the golf course.
