Personal Statement
My Name is Samuel Frain, Class of 2026 living in Sydney, Australia.
187cm in height and 65kg (143 pounds)
I attend The Cranbrook School (www.cranbrook.nsw.edu.au) and participate in SSC (student sustainability Council), SWC (student wellbeing council) international Amnesty, Smith Reading Buddy Program (https://www.thesmithfamily.com.au/programs/literacy/student-2-student), Numeracy Buddy (Tutoring Kids who struggle with mathematics-Non-Profit). I aspire to study exercise and Sports Science as the subjects I have chosen have provided a deep insight into the human body and sparked an interest in pursuing further study in that field. I am starting a website focused on Exercise and Sports Science which will create a deep understanding for young sports enthusiasts on improving their performance off the field with nutrition, gym etc.
I have a handicap of +0.3 and an average score of 73 in tournaments. I play at Bonnie Doon Golf Club and St Michaels Golf Club and practice on average 24 hours a week constantly working on my game to achieve my dreams of being a walk-on at any university in America.
Other sporting activities that I compete in are:
Cricket – 1st XI, the highest grade for the High School (Won premiership)
Schools Track and Field Team (1500m 3000m),
Cross country (won premiership),
triathlons and half marathons competitively.
