Personal Statement
My name is Lucas Escudero. I was born on the 20th of June of 2006. I´m from Argentina, a country where really good players were born, two major winners like Roberto De Vicenso y Angel Cabrera. I started playing golf in April of 2018 after being invited by my uncle to The Masters and to play in Pinehurst N°2. It was an incredible experience which I will never forget. The moment I started watching the players I knew my dream was to be there and that was the moment I fell in love with golf. I also come from a family of golfers, my parents both are club champions, my grandfather represented the country in several opportunities and he won the Argentine National Championship 3 times in a row, so I could say golf is in my genes. Since that moment I have always been the first one to get to practice and the last one to leave. My biggest accomplishment at the moment is winning the U15 Argentine National Championship by 5 strokes. That took me to the 4th place in the U15 National Ranking which gave me the possibility to be a part of the Argentine National Team. Here are all the players who will represent the country one day. I would love to have the opportunity to play college golf. I want to take my golf game to the next level and have a great academic experience in a country I really admire. My father, my uncles and my grandfather studied in the United States. Everything I heard about it is good, after everything they told me I made my decision that I want to play college golf. I'm a great team player, I have represented my club in several opportunities and I absolutely loved it. I also have a winning mentality and everything I propose myself I will make it.
