Personal Statement
My Name is Matthew Salmon, I'm 24 years old and I'm originally from Hertfordshire, England, but I now reside in Naples, Florida with my parents. I have been playing Golf since I was 6 years old and my motivation with the game is to one day become a professional golfer on tour. Playing collegiate University Golf is something that I realize could literally change my life and future in Golf. It is therefore my sole and immediate desire to accomplish this. I am a team player and a leader, some one who respects rules and is always ready to set the example. I am a self-motivated golfer who always strives to be the best and amongst the hardest working players, both in the classroom improving my GPA in addition to on the golf course. I always put one hundred percent into everything that I do and I'm always the last to leave the range or the course. In 2011, I went to Scottsdale Community College in Arizona where I played 2 years of College Golf and did an Associates of Applied Science in Hospitality Tourism & Golf Management, which I recently Graduated in December 2014. I also attended Valencia College in Orlando, Florida where I converted my general education classes from SCC into Valencia's AA General Studies Degree to gain an easier transfer to a University, and which I also very recently graduated in August 2015. I'm now ready to continue onto my Bachelors Degree, also to ultimately find the right college match, highest level of competition, and one that allows me to maximize my contributions to the team, the game in achieving the highest possible accolades in the sport.
