Personal Statement
As a 17 year old international student living in the Middle East I understand what it is like to live in a different culture to what my parents and I are used to. I aspire to become an athlete playing and competing against other high skilled golfers who have similar goals to mine. Mainly, my aims are to play at the highest level possible. I am very open to the size of school, their location and their academic level as at the end of the day, I am mainly looking for a good positive experience.
With grade averages varying between A* - C attending a British School; Doha College, on the IGCSE/GCSE courses. I have played Soccer ever since I was 2 years old. Playing Soccer In school and as an Extra Curricular Activity, I have been able to show my skills as Captain for both my school team and my Club Team. "As captain for the Academy Team, he is a perfect role model for everyone in his team and at the club" are words of my former Club Football Coach.
Having won the 2016 Middle East Faldo Series Edition, it gave me confidence and assurance that I can take golf seriously and compete on high levels. While most of my colleagues spend their time on the driving range, I find it essential that I am on the short game area and perfecting the different types of shots necessary to minimise shots around the green. Socially, I will have no problems interacting with others from different nations and cultures as there are around 20 different nationalities in my grade alone. Hard Work and good coach relationships have all helped me develop as a person and as a golfer. Having had 2 coaches in the last 3 years, I enjoy working and meeting new coaches who I feel can help improve my game with new ideas and opinions.
I am looking forward to hopefully getting in contact and staying in contact and I hope we talk soon.
