Personal Statement
My name is Paul Vaglio. I am a 16 years old golfer from Switzerland playing with a handicap of -1.4. My dream is to combine my passion for golf and a world class education in an American college. It's been only 2 years since I started playing golf tournaments and my progression is fast. At the beginning of the year, my handicap was 7 and now it's -1,4.
I am also good in the academic part. My average in Switzerland is 5,1/6 which is around 3,5 in GPA.
By joining college in the United States, I hope to develop both my golf skills and academic skills.

- AwardsI received the first prize for excellence (best student in the whole class) in 2018 and the second prize for excellence in 2019 and 2020. I had the possibility to apply for an "extra-muros" in 2022. An extra-muros is when your grades are so good (gpa around 3,7) after the first six months that you can leave the school three months earlier. SO I had the opportunity to go for six months in bishops gate (ijga academy in florida) and worked there with Robert Neal on my golf swing. I had the "certificate" in highschool in 2022,2023 and 2024. It means that your average is above 3,3 gpa
- ActivitiesI have been a "ball kid" in Roland Garros in 2021. There was a selection and we were 6000 children for 250 places. I enjoy coding in Python on my computer and going to the university of geneva to do some maths. I like to watch some movies with my family and hang-out with my friends.
