Personal Statement

My name is Paul and I from Ireland. I have achieved so much in my golfing career so far and many more to follow hopefully.


  • Numerous All Ireland medals with my club and school golf.

  • Numerous Leinster medals with my club and school golf.

  • I have played for Leinster under 18 and Leinster seniors on several occasions with victory's.  

  • I have reached a handicap of +1.

  • My lowest round is a 66 and have shot it several times.

  • I have had 5 hole in ones, 1 in competition and 4 in practice rounds.

And many more that i cant think of the top of my head??

My Goals are as follows:

  •  Make the colleges team.

  • Get my handicap as low as possible +2 or better.

  • Be PGA tour pro

  • Compete in a PGA Pro AM event to gain valuable experience.

What makes me different to any other recruits is that I am Passionate, determined, motivated, kind, sociable and  giving it 100% when trying to achieve my goals and aspirations. I am in the Darren Clark Golf School and every evening I practice all aspects of my golf game and at the session that the coaches provide. I am focused and determined on wanting to achieve my goals weather that`s in golf or academia. I am a straight A and B student, I generally have all my Assignments/work in on time so I can dedicate more time on my golf practice. I have contact Dermatitis on my right hand which shows how hard I practice, this shows my passion, commitment and determination to make this my sporting career for the rest of my life. I want to make my peers and family members proud of me.

  • Finished 2nd in my age group and tied ninth overall. The weather was Brutal the first day but came back the next day and shot a solid score of two under par 70

  • Finished 2nd over all with rounds of 74 and 68. It was meant to be a four round tournament but the weather was so bad the first day it had to be cancelled. I was ready to go into a play off after my round but an athlete came in with two solid 70`s

  • Finished tied ninth overall. Was tied third after the first round with a score of 69 (-2). Again the bad weather rolled in which caused me to drop back a few shots

  • The Weather was class for the final two days. We played Hilton First and the weather wasn`t great but after the round I felt like I was out of the tournament. I was very disappointed the first day, so I sat down that night and evaluated my round to see what I can improve tomorrow. The next day we played the Valley and I shot a 66 and that launched me back up to the top of leader board. On the final day I had a solid round and finished 3rd
