Personal Statement

I am a 6'1, 165 lbs male golfer from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I am a varsity golf starter at Hills International College/Golf Academy as well as the #1 positioned Division 1 junior pennant player for Royal Queensland Golf Club. I have contributed to both of these teams by both playing well and helping younger athletes to get a start on the team. I do this by motivating them and helping them out both in the classroom and on the golf course. I am very proud to be apart of the 2015-2017 Royal Queensland pennant team which made a historic comeback from Division III by winning back-to-back championships to distinguish ourselves as one of the four teams in the Division I League. I also am one of the very few recipients across my state that has achieved the Stars Of The Future Scholarship/Award presented by Junior Golf Queensland. I personally have a lot of experience playing golf in a team environment as I am apart of the prestigious high-performance program at Hills International College. This than has enables me to experience traveling and competing in overseas tournaments such as the Asia-Pacific Junior Golf Tour events held in China, Malaysia, India, New Zealand and Indonesia. I currently maintain a GPA of 3.6 on a 4.0 scale,  I also have achieved academic distinctions in Humanities in 2017 alongside multiple academic and leadership awards. I am currently looking for a college that competes at a high-level of college competition, as well as an institute with an outstanding academic reputation. I am open to all geographical locations, however, I do have a preference for programs located in the West. Ideally,  I would like to be able to make an immediate contribution to the college team both athletically and academically.
