Personal Statement
Hi, I am Max Nielsen from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
I have been playing College Golf in the US for the last 2 years and now wish to continue to develop my golf at another college.
I spent 2 my 1st year at Iowa Western JC. During my time there I was a regular member of the golf team and played in the National Championships as the number 2 player.
I really struggled with the weather at Iowa and had an opportunity to transfer to West Texas JC and have settled in well.
I believe I would be an asset to any program as I am ready to take my golf to another level. I have proven I can handle being away from home and being able to handle the US golf courses. Many years of playing and training for other sports has assisted in me having a developed physique ideal for golf and prevention of injury and I have continued that while being over here.
I would be an asset to any program as I have a big personality and I work extremely well in a team and in any moment can be a leader or step back and follow. I would love to show my future American teammates the "Aussie" way of life and maybe one day take them fishing, surfing or camping in the outback with me as they are my other passions.
I would be appreciative of any college that offered me an opportunity to contribute to and improve their overall team balance and camaraderie and of course golf success and look forward to discussing this with you.
