Personal Statement
Since I was a little boy, one of my main goals in life has been to make into a golf college. I have always worked hard in educational terms and golf terms due to my dream of becoming a golfer and represent my college in different tournaments. From my point of view, what makes me a good candidate for a golf team, is my dedication and responsibility, as I love playing golf and really enjoy studying, I'm always making sure that I'm doing the right thing while also checking on anything I can improve to make me a better person. My main goal in college golf is to make it to a great team and be able to contribute as much as I can, that's why I've been working on my golf swing the last couple of years. Additionally, I'm really looking forward to studying Finance or following a career related to economics and math subjects.
I'm not going to lie, I've always been an introverted kind of person, but as soon as I gain confidence with people I enjoy myself a lot. You may be asking what does this have to do with college recruitment, and let me tell you that I’m very strict and harsh on myself, which makes me want to improve in every aspect of my life, which I think, it's the key to becoming successful. However, this personality used to affect me negatively as a kid, because I used to get very angry when things didn't go as planned, but throughout the years I understood that concept and nowadays I cannot list any recent moment where I didn't enjoy golfiing or studying.
Furthermore, I think it's very significant to mention the fact that lately, I've been trying to get to know myself a lot better. In December I started a weight loss program created by me, and lost around 11.2 kg, which now gives me more flexibility with my golf swing and makes me feel more comfortable than when I weighed 63.3 kg. This fact created a lot of happiness in my life and got rid of every insecurity that I use to have, so nowadays I feel even more happier than I was some years ago.
Lastly, school plays a huge role in my life. I've always been a very dedicated student, no matter in which subject. I always enjoy learning new things. However, I always hear people say that the only way to become a successful golfer or person in life is by homeschooling. So that's what I'm planning to prove wrong, especially to people from my country, where education is never taken into consideration, and the only things that matter are sports. Back to my point, I'm basically suggesting that I want to prove people wrong, that you can score great scores in difficult subjects while at the same time maintain a great golf scoring average.
