Personal Statement
My family and I moved abroad several times, having lived in Spain, United States, and the UK. Moving so much has given me a cosmopolitan character adapting myself to different cultures and environments. At the end of the day, going to 7 different schools in the first 13 years of my life, has made me much better at adapting and stepping out of my comfort zone constantly.
Although golf is an individual sport, I also enjoy playing it at team level. I had a great experience playing for Puerta de Hierro and Madrid conference youth team. One of my team captains, Kiko Luna (former Jon Rahm coach) had a great influence on my early golf.
Besides golf, my other passion is Atletico Madrid. For those who don’t know about European football, Atletico values are passion, Team-spirit, and Resilience. Being a fan of this team, has made me overcome defeats and never stop believing.
In my short golf career, I have played more than 300 official tournaments achieving around 50% Top 10 in all WAGR’s played, having acquired a lot of experience and skills and learning to recover mentally from my mistakes.
In February 2024 I won my first ever WAGR tournament, in the incredible Zaudin golf course designed by Gary Player, qualifying for the Spanish Kings cup. My current ranking at the European Golf Ranking (EGR) is 1,410.
Besides my family I was impacted by my three current coaches: Angel Matallana (main coach), Jose Luis Alonso (short game) and Martin Cummins (putter). Thank you for considering me as a candidate for your college golf team. I will never let you down.
