Personal Statement
After moving to France to attend a Golf Boarding School, I aspire to continue my studies in the United States. I believe that in order to achieve my golf goals, the American collegiate system is the best choice I can make. I aim to reach a PGA level through the high quality coaching that is provided only by undergraduate programs in the U.S.
I know I am a good candidate for your team because I am already used to combining intense daily golf training and schoolwork. I perfected this ability when I switched to a Golf boarding high school three years ago.
I already have participated in many championships around the world, as you will see on my tournament achievements summary file. I also belong to two federations (the French Golf Federation and the Egyptian Golf Federation) through which I learnt to work with different teams, in different languages, and with different cultures.
I would say my edge is that I already overcame one of the biggest struggles other recruits still have to go through when I left my home in Egypt at the age of 15 to dedicate my life to Golf. It only made me stronger and built my character. I am not just motivated I am passionate about golf and ready to sacrifice many things to reach my objectives. My golf level is good as I work daily to perfect it and golf coaches always comment on how good my swing is. Because I chose to go to a golf focused highschool, my academics level is very well mentored by teachers giving us intensive classes, in classes of only 6 students.
In other words, my passion for golf has been shaped by my own life experience. All I need today is a school that would be the place for me to bring together my scholar knowledge and my golf experience and level and further develop it. Specifically, a university that would provide me with the push I need to lower my handicap and get the unique American training – which is the one I have been lacking so far – and the only one, I believe, that could fulfill my ambitious goals’ thrive.
