Saxen Shang Yao Hii '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Saxen Hii, I'm from East Malaysia - Borneo, Sarawak.

2021 will be my final year in high school so i'm looking forward to experiencing a life as a university student in the United States.

Being able to further my education in a University in America is in the top three things on my bucket list and to be able to play the collegiate golf is just a blessing. I began my golf journey at a young age of 7 and enjoyed playing this sport since day one. A year later, I started participating in some local junior tournaments as well as international ones which was really exciting despite not winning all the tournaments. Winning is extremely important to me but being able to participate and just swinging my club is much more important to me. 

I'm determined and self-motivated simply because of one reason which is to fulfill my promise which I made to myself the day I first realized how important balancing academics and golf was for me. Earning a spot in a university golf team would make everything worth it so I am looking forward to achieve my goal.
