Personal Statement
I am a very organised and focussed student. Throughout the year I am able to balance my studies with golf competitions and practice schedule so that I can achieve the best possible outcomes in all areas.
Being self motivated means that during the winter months my practise schedule is mainly daily practise at the driving range on my own during the week and weekends on the course. I follow the guidance of my coach but without needing to be reminded. During the summer months I aim to practice mostly on the course.
During 2014/15 when I was Junior Captain I learned a lot about working as a team and the importance of leading by example and constantly demonstrating respect and integrity both on and off the golf course. This stood me in good stead for my Sports Leadership role which I did as part of my GCES PE course. This involved teaching junior students (ages 6 and 7) the skills and qualities needed for football; tag rugby; netball; athletics and other sports.
