Being raised as a child of a Golf Course Superintendent and being involved in junior golf at a young age always gave me the dream of one day being the next big name on the tour. After a recent move to Iowa the availability of being able to play golf skyrocketed. Having this availability has not only given me the opportunity to be great, but also the drive to be even better.
Heading into senior year there is nothing I want more than to have the opportunity to play golf at a more competitive level and be even closer to that dream I had as a child. I think this is what separates me from the other recruits. While other kids during the summer are telling themselves it's too hot, enjoying themselves in the pool, and sitting in the air conditioning, I am either out working on the grounds for my local golf course or working each and every minute to improve my own game.
Along with this determination on the course, I also have it in the classroom. Being able to tell myself I accomplished something not only on the course but the classroom as well, gives me even more of a push to be the next great. I was always told you cannot be the best if you do not work towards it and believe that you are. And that's my goal, to be the next great.
