Golf is in my blood. I'm fortunate to have a lot of golfers in my family, including my dad who played college golf for Iowa State University and proceeded to coach division III college golf (Coe College, Cedar Rapids IA) while I grew up. My High School golf coach, Sean McCarty, is a professional golfer who has participated in numerous PGA tour events. Through these two mentors, I have come to understand what playing golf at the next level means. The dedication, mentality and sacrifice required to be successful.
I believe I am only getting started with my game. I have been training at the gym and indoor facilities this winter and have numerous Midwest tournaments scheduled this summer. Last summer I attended an IMG Academy Golf Camp and later this year I an attending the Next Level College Golf Camp in San Diego in an attempt to better my game and gain experience outside of the Midwest.
I am looking for a college golf experience that not only will be allow me to play at the highest possible level, but also provide a rewarding education and environment while doing so. In other words, I want to get a good education, play college golf and have fun doing it!
