Golf is the most special thing in my life behind my faith and my family. I have had a love and a passion for this sport since I was a very young boy and it is continuing to grow. I want to succeed in golf almost as bad as I want to breathe. I spend hours each and every day doing something to better myself in the game of golf. I feel I can have a very successful golf career but that's not even half the battle, you have to have the drive and the motivation and I have that.
In the classroom I am a very hard worker and have achieved a very high GPA throughout my middle and high school career. Not only do I focus on my academic success, I often help tutor peers whenever they want help.
I have been fortunate to have a PGA Professional at my local courses. Chris Black has a very successful golf resume including an appearance in the 2012 John Deere Classic, a 2nd place finish in the 2013 Iowa Player of the Year, and he barely missed out on the opportunity to play in the 2013 PGA Championship placing tied for 18th in the PGA Club Professionals Championship. Chris and I have become very close over the past few years but I've known him and have been working with him since I was 4. My eighth grade year he asked me to practice with the high school team and I jumped on the opportunity, not only did I show up everyday, but I stayed at the course until the sun went down each and every night working on my game.
