I picked my first club up when I was five years old and I haven’t been able to put them down since. I aspire to help my collegiate team win by becoming the best golfer I can possibly be. I know I can do this due to my work ethic and ever-improving knowledge of the game. My freshman year I was able to make the All-Conference team, but I knew I had to be better. I worked all offseason to improve my consistency through getting stronger, improving my mechanics, and increasing my mobility. I averaged 82 my freshman year and improved to 76 this past year. My scoring average also consistently lowered throughout the season.
I believe I will make an even bigger jump this coming year. I have taken a class at school that is dedicated to improving my strength and mobility and I gained a lot of experience last fall at the state tournament. I was the first individual qualifier for state in my school’s history. I finished tied for 19th and was one of the top ranked sophomores. I have also been tirelessly working on my short game and putting consistency this offseason.
I will be able to average below 72 this year because I have better mechanics, I have gotten stronger, and I have gained valuable experience.
