My name is Reid Doring and I have been wanting to have a career in golf as long as I can remember, I have been playing golf since I learned to walk and this is all I have wanted to do ever since. I started for my varsity team my freshman year and that team ended up making it to the state championship. My freshman year average 18 hole round was a 88, that was in the spring of 2023 and in Fall of 2023 I dropped my average to a 80. The summer going into my Junior year is when I really started to compete in tournaments consistently and I have a couple rounds around even par. I have improved my average by at least 6 strokes every year for the past 3 years and I don't plan on stopping. I feel that I am a very competitive golfer and am constantly trying to get as good as I can. I am a good candidate for any team in the country because I am willing to compete with anyone I go against and I will always give 100% effort all the time. My goal in college is to get as good as I can and win as many tournaments as I can. I am going to try to play competitive golf as long as I can in life as it is my favorite thing to do. I feel I am different from other recruits because all my mind is set at is golf I do not let go in the classroom though as I currently have a 3.6 GPA. I can not wait to get my college golf career started.
