my name is Connor Newman I am a 14 year old junior golfer from Chanute Kansas a town of around 9,000 people I am starting my recruiting Journey now because I want to do everything I can to make it to the next level of college golf a little bit about me is that I am a big golfer I eat sleep play golf I have been playing for around 3 years now and have achieved a handicap of 4.4 those rounds all being from tournament play this summer was my first summer play on the kjgt tour in my home state of Kansas it was a great first year and I learned a lot about myself from thing I do good to things I need to improve on I am a very hard worker and love achieving things that I work for.My days in the summer time are filled with golf all day I wake up and I am ready to play I get out to the course around 9 everyday and go right to the short game area the most important area in golf I practice that for about a hour then hit the range for about a hour and a half and then when it hits lunch time I go home and eat I am very fourtunate to live very close to my home course I ride my scooter there every day and love being able to do it the I am a very hard worker in the classroom and I get my homework done after school so I can get right out to the course I am only in middle school right now but I want to be a hard worker now and in anything I do my dad plays a very big role getting me into golf himself playing professionally and knowing a lot about the game he is one of my biggest supporters and biggest helpers my main achievements this summer was winning 2 times on the kjgt winning the gatorade award at the ku elite golf camp in all ages of boys and qualifying for the notah begay regional and the Kansas junior tour championship in my first year I am ready to have a big summer this year and look forward to what it holds
