Hi I'm Matthew Quigley a golfer of the 2024 class. I have been playing golf for 2 years and this years completion will be that of a third year. While golf has grown to be a part of me I believe that our relationship Is one that will last a lifetime. I started of my golfing career well above a 20 handicap. I liked golf and I loved that it was a competition versus my selve, constantly overcoming the next objection to a perfect swing. I practiced and played many round s in order to get better. By the end on my second year I had gotten down to a 12 handicap and hovered right around a mid 13 for the most part. The start of my third and current year of golf I have been able to hover around the mid to high 5 handicap range. I am still improving with many range sessions and lessons to help further my growth. Towards the end of July my family will be setting up a simulator which I will be using to finally lock down my yardages and spin rates to perfection. I will learn the INS and outs of everything with my swing past what is imaginable. I take great pride in golf and make sure that I represent my school well as a student-athlete.
I have always been very competitive with fellow friends and classmates throughout school. I always urge to do the best of my abilities and achieve the most notable reward. Grades are not the only important thing in school, but I believe that an understanding is the most important. I make sure to understand everything whether that's golf, school, or a story that may have no relation to me at all. I make sure that I develope connections to peers, coaches, and teachers to further help my connection to what's around me. I am 4th in my class right now and will fight to improve my ranking by the end on my senior year. I cannot see a way that I do not succeed on and off the course through my post highschool endeavors. I take pride in all that I do and will make sure to be constantly improving. I am very coachable and pick insights up very quickly. I hope that you see my strengths are beneficial to your team and will help continue my growth to become the best student athlete possible.
