I've been playing golf my whole life at Barton Hills Country Club, as I was put in to the junior program there with a bunch of my friends. I played for several years there, while thinking basketball was my focus until it got very intense, and figured out it was not for me. While I stopped playing basketball around 13, the PGA junior league was something that had me hooked on golf, and it made me love the competitive side and the mental challenges that are associated with golf. After playing in this, the next year I started playing in real tournaments, and quickly golf became a 10 hour a day thing when the weather was good enough. Since then I have improved greatly every year, playing in bigger and bigger tournaments. With this, I have been lucky enough to have some great friends who belong to my country club and surround it, and we have only continued to push each other to become better. These friendships and my basketball upbringing have prepared me for the college level, as I know how to be a good teammate and how to be a helpful person on the golf course. The country club experience has taught me valuable lessons on manners, kindness, and patience. In the classroom, I'm a smart kid, and I work hard to get good grades and learn as much as possible. I also challenge myself, as I have taken several honors classes. What I will bring to any team is a hard working kid who wants to win, who is a team player, and who is a great person in the classroom and on the course.
