The game of golf was introduced to me at the age of five (5) when my grandfather gave me my first set of clubs. I have had a passion since then with the ambition of achieving the ultimate goal of playing college golf. My priorities in life begin with God and family followed closely by academics and golf. At the age of seven (7) I taped a goal list on my bathroom mirror and the number one entry was to play college golf while achieving a college degree. The list is still posted to my mirror encouraging me in my pursuit.
Being raised in a household where both parents were college athletes, the concept of hard work and setting goals has been instilled in me. I have always believed that dedication and hard work can lead to awesome opportunities. With this concept in mind, I have dedicated much of my free time grinding at my golf game in order to be the best player that I can be. In addition to goal setting and hard work I would describe myself as thoughtful, a team player, polite, and encouraging to others. I have developed many of these characteristics through playing junior golf tournaments, growing up in a loving home where goal setting and hard work were encouraged and expected, and being part of a church community which provided many opportunities to serve others. These life skills, I believe, set me apart from other candidates and make me a winning choice for your college program.
