Owen Williams '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been on the Detroit Catholic Central Varsity golf team for 1 year coming up on 2.  My freshman year high school golf season was canceled due to the pandemic. And recently we won the State Championship in 2022, beating Ann Arbor Skyline!  Over the past year, I have been taking golf very seriously.  I started working with a trainer, started playing more frequently and refining my game. As a results have lowered my handicap down to a 5.3.  I consistently shoot mid to high 70’s. My best round to date is 70 (-2) and I recently had my first hole in 1 this summer at Fox Hills Golf Club.  Playing golf at the D1 level has been my dream ever since I touched a golf club when I was three years old, and I hope to one day make it to a professional level. Academics are very important to me and I don't intend to compromise my education in pursuit of a golf scholarship. I'm looking for a good fit academically and athletically.
