Hi coaches! My name is Jacob Ferrin and I am 17 years old and I am going into my senior year at Southwest Christian High School. After high school, my goal is to play at the collegiate level and become the best player I can be. Not only do I want to just play, I want to put myself in a position to compete against the best players in the country and bring my game to the level I know it can reach. Playing college golf has been a goal of mine for a long time and being from Minnesota, has required a lot of hard work, focus, and time management to maximize the short seasons that we have. Along with playing, this will be my third year as captain of our golf team. With this experience, it has taught me a lot about how to lead and work to build my other teammates up through both the ups and downs of competitive golf. This willingness to be there for my teammates and lead through example and hard work both in the classroom and on the course is something I will bring with me besides my game. Some of my goals for my playing years during college are to compete for both conference and national championships and play in the biggest amateur events during the summer months as well.
