Tate Olson Swing ...Personal Statement
I am a four sport athlete who has participated in 7 state tournaments (golf, football, and basketball). Instead of zeroing in on one sport, I believe that I have become a better athlete because I play multiple sports. In the spring and summer, I am a golfer. However, when I'm not on the golf course, I am a pitcher for our varsity baseball team. In the fall, I am the quarterback for the state tournament football team and during the winter, I am a shooting guard on our state tournament basketball team (2nd place). The positions I play require me to have good communication skills, be very coachable, and be a team player. Along with athletics, I've also been on multiple all-academic teams. I look forward to finding a college where I can focus all my energy on developing and growing as a golfer. I am confident that being focused on one sport will really enhance my play.
