I have been golfing since I was 3 years old (I started with plastic golf clubs). When I was in 7th grade my golf coach asked me to practice with the varsity team. After 2 weeks he asked me to golf at the first varsity meet of the season. As a thirteen year old in 7th grade I got 3rd best on my team, and I’ve been on varsity and lettered every year since. I have improved my average by around 10 strokes every year.
Golf has taught me to always move forward and how to overcome obstacles. I learned that sacrifice, leadership, and hard work translates to improved scores and success on and off the course. I have not yet achieved my full potential and I love the challenge that golf brings. The many hours of practice and hard work has led to improved scores and learning more about myself. The pursuit of improvement and the challenge that goes with it is what I enjoy.
I am looking for a college that will challenge me on and off the course.
