Alexander Iverson '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Alex Iverson and I will be a Senior at Park Christian School in Moorhead, MN.  As I consider my future college plans, my goal is to play college golf competitively allowing me to contribute to a team and to continue to develop in my skill and ability as a golfer.  In addition to my passion to join in college golf, academic success is very important to me.

Growing up, hockey has always been a big part of my life.   As I grew older, I discovered my true passion for golf.  I have played varsity golf for four years with the experience of competing in the Minnesota State A tournament during my freshman and junior year. I was unable to get to State my Sophomore year which was hard but it has made me a better golfer and person. I placed 'All Conference' twice, finishing third my sophomore year and first my junior year. Since I live in the upper midwest, much of my time golfing is played in the early spring through the summer.  I also play varsity hockey year round which does take some time away from my ability  to golf during the summer and fall.  

As a leader, I'm proud to have been chosen as team captain for our golf team this year,  prior years team captain for hockey, and am currently acting as team captain in leading our summer hockey practice sessions.

Over the past two years my grades have improved drastically as a result of hard work, commitment and dedication.  I was named to the National Honor Society in 2018 and awarded with the Association of Christian Schools International Distinguished Christian Students award for 2017-18.  Although I am undecided about my major, I am driven to succeed academically in order to achieve my dreams for the future.  As a college student athlete, I will continue to walk with the Lord, maintain good grades, and excel as a great golfer.
