I started to swing plastic golf clubs at the age of 2 and I fell in love with the game of golf. I would walk around the house swinging the clubs all the time. I always played golf growing up, but I didn't play at a competitive level until freshman year in high school. As a freshman, I made the Varsity team where we won our 3rd consecutive Conference Championship. Sophomore year, I had a chance to make the State Tournament but just missed it and I was devastated. That moment drove me to practice more and get better so I wouldn't have to experience that feeling again. My hard worked paid off as I made the State Tournament my junior year. From the start of my freshman year to the end of my junior year, I have dropped 20 strokes. I would love to continue playing competitive golf while getting a great education. As a golf captain and a leader in my other sports teams and school, I know what it takes to be a leader on your team.
