One of my primary goals since my freshman year of high school has been to become a consistent performer for the Eagan high school golf team. I have been able to accomplish this as I qualified to play on the varsity team for virtually every tournament from my freshman through junior years. My senior golf season will conclude during the spring of 2020. During these years on the varsity team, my desire for competing with my teammates and on a individual basis has never diminished. This passion for golf competition started early on as I started playing junior tournaments at 12 years old. My goals even at this early age included competing as part of a college golf team and this has never waned.
I feel my teammates and coaches would characterize me as a very positive and dedicated teammate who always maintains a calm demeanor. I am not prone to get too high or low during practice or tournament rounds. Eagan High School has prepared me well for the requirements of college studies and is ranked the 10th best high school in Minnesota and 597th best high school in the country. I have had to work extremely hard on my time management to achieve a 3.0 grade point average and balance academic requirements with the time away from school for our golf team's practices and tournaments. Most of these tournaments were 18 holes and most required travel to the tournament site. In addition, I also had to utilize good time management during the balance of the school year as well as I played Junior Gold hockey with the season running from October through March.
