Playing golf has always been a passion of mine ever since I picked up a club when I was four years old. Ever since that day I have fallen in love with the game. My father and I play golf every Sunday afternoon and it is something I look forward to every week. I am better at the short game aspect of golf - it is where I do my best. While I've gained distance and accuracy in my driving, as I get older and stronger, my short game is where I shine. My goal is to play golf in college because I love the game and the team aspect of college golf. I'm a huge sports fan and cheering on my favorite sports teams is one of my hobbies. I would love to be a part of a college team.
I am learning a lot in high school. I went to a very small K-8 school with only 25 kids in a grade. There is a lot to learn when you are in a larger environment. I've learned its important to be more conscientious about schoolwork. I have made honor roll each quarter for the past three years. In my junior year, I challenged myself to take all Honors courses. I have taken the SAT and ACT. I am also learning about the social aspects of high school. Since freshman year, I have been the #1 golfer on my high school team and at first, it took me a while to fit in. I was seen as the new kid taking over the team. I learned to get along with the upperclassman and this past year, I was named one of the captains of the team. I worked hard to earn their respect. I like playing on a team. I have always been involved with team sports-I also play varsity baseball. Being on a team pushes me harder to perform, because I know my teammates are counting on me. It is where I've made great friends. Playing on a college golf team would combine two of my favorite things - playing golf, and being in a team environment. What comes next for me is yet to be determined. I look forward to speaking with you about your school and team to see if I would be a good fit. Thank you.
