I am a well rounded high school athlete who is focused on golf. While I have played recreational golf since I was a small child, I only started in the competitive circuit once I entered high school. My improvements have been rapid and I dropped my handicap from a 25 my freshman year to a 10.2 my sophomore, 4.3 my junior year and now my senior year I am at 1.7. If I continue to improve at this rate, I could be a scratch golfer in college.
I am intense when it comes to practice and perfection. My parents have been incredibly supportive and built me a golf simulator in my garage and a putting/chipping green in my backyard. I average 2-3 hours a day of practice. I've added a recent Skytrack session.
I currently have an average driver club head speed of 125mph and an average ball speed of 181mph. My max recorded ball speed has been 195mph at 138 mph club head speed.
I am currently working with two private coaches, one for overall course management and the other is a swing coach. This has really helped me drop my scoring. I moved to New Mexico in June 2022 and started playing competitively in tournaments outside of high school golf. My tournament scoring dropped 74.5 in tournaments during September and October 2023, where it currently stands. I have come a long way in one year time and with this trajectory, I will make a great addition to a college team.
In addition to my golf drive, I am a solid student with an above 3.25 GPA.
It is my dream to continue my golf career beyond high school and any coach that gives me that opportunity will be paid dividends back in my work ethic to contribute to the team. I have played a variety of sports since the age of four (4) (primarily volleyball and baseball) and therefore the importance of teamwork is not lost on me, despite the sport of golf being primarily individual.
I hope I can at least have the opportunity to discuss your program with you and see if we are a match. Thanks for reading!
