Myles Walker '26 Recruiting Profile

        I’ve loved the game of golf ever since I started walking. My dad’s parents own a 9 hole golf course. Of course my parents bought me golf clubs at age one. Little did they know I’d be a lefty, but only for golf. After I destroyed a set of right clubs, I got my first set of lefty clubs at age 2. I played in the yard, inside the house, and on the course every chance I got. 

       My love of golf grew and turned into a passion. It’s what I think about from the minute I wake up until I go to bed. I spend my summers golfing as many holes as I can get in during the daylight. I’ve played Varsity golf since 7th grade and have been a leader on my high school team. I feel that encouragement is valuable to younger less experienced players who may not have had the opportunities that I have had. I’m frequently told that I’m a natural teacher when supporting younger children pursue their golf game. 

      I have played soccer, tennis, basketball, and snowboard at the local ski mountain. None of these sports compare to golf. I have a love for golf that goes beyond the regular season. How lucky am I that my parents opened a 3 bay indoor golf simulator business? I can now play year round. 

     Collegiate golf is a goal that I set for myself as a 8th grade student. I’ve been working hard to improve my grades. Staying after school and seeing teachers for extra help when it’s available. I know I’ll be a valuable candidate for a golf team because it’s my goal and I can’t wait to chase my dream!
