Since I was little I have been playing golf with my dad. I started playing on some par 3’s when I was about 4 and really enjoyed it. I would go with my dad when I could and continued to get better. I knew I wanted to take golf to a new level, but never realized that collegiate golf was an option for me until my sophomore year. I had taken most of my lessons from my dad, but was able to get some lessons from a PGA professional to make some minor changes to my swing. That was the change that made me realize I could get much better. I had not had the opportunity for lessons or playing tournaments until I was in high school. From my Freshman year to my Junior year my scores dropped from the 90’s to mid 70’s and I feel they can continue to go down with additional practice and guidance. I have a swing coach that I can go to and also have a coach helping with the mental part of the game. I look forward to finding an opportunity where I can continue to improve my skills.
