I've played golf since I can remember. I still have a baby picture of me holding my foot-long, Maxfli 5 iron. My dad is a PGA professional in Iowa at Glynns Creek Golf Course. He had me playing golf at a very young age playing in many golf tournaments. I was very successful as a young kid winning many tournaments by large margins. I moved to North Dakota in 7th grade where I was moved to the varsity golf team. I've made it to State every year since 8th grade. My freshman year I played in the PGA Junior Iowa Section Championship. I shot 77 and 79 for 12th place in tough, rainy conditions. I've played in many tournaments over the summers. This summer I've played in the ND State junior where I took 3rd after rounds of 76 and 72. I also played in the ND State Match Play, taking 7th place losing to a D1 golfer in 20 holes. I shot rounds of 79, 72, 69, 73, and 71. I look forward to leading my high school team to back to back State Championships this spring. I believe that schools would benefit from my commitment to not only golf, but in the classroom where I am a hard worker and love to learn. I've won the "Most Improved Player" award three years in a row on my Varsity Basketball team where I am a starter and a captain. I would love to go to a school where I can greatly improve my education and my golf game.
