Why am I the best candidate for your college golf team? I am hardworking, dedicated, and always want to improve myself in both golf and academics. After every match I play, I always reflect on how I played and what I could do to make myself a better golfer. I believe in being dedicated to both myself and my team. As an 8th grade student, I made the decision to dedicate myself to only playing golf in order to become the best golfer I could be. I used to play a variety of sports and excelled at most of them, but realized that if I wanted to become a better golfer, I needed to focus on only golf. An example of making the Covid pandemic a positive experience was during my freshman year of high school, my high school went to a half-day class schedule in order to be able to have in-person classes. I played golf every morning and went to school in the afternoon. It really helped improve my game and also helped me manage my time and classes better. This experience might have been the only positive that came out of the Covid pandemic. My collegiate goals included to be able to play at the highest level of college golf available to me and to be able to better my game of golf, by being surrounded by the best college golfers in the country and also being able to challenge myself not only on the course but in the classroom. My aspirations for my senior year of high school golf are being able to put 110% into improving my game of golf and to be able to help my team achieve a goal of going to and winning state in division 1 high school golf, I also intend to achieve the highest grades I can while playing golf.
