Aaron (AJ) Iliff '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I’m AJ Iliff and I’m a golfer. With an average driver swing speed of 118 mph, I think I have natural talent that could take me to the next level and am looking for a college golf program that will help me do just that. 

I’m currently a junior in high school with a 3.48 GPA. When not practicing or playing golf, I’m in my fourth year of running my own power washing business, building custom longboards, and working at Dietsch’s Brothers, a local ice cream shop. 

This past golf season, my score averaged 83 and my lowest carded score was 77. I have just started on the Golfweek Junior Tour (summer 2023) and am looking forward to several upcoming tournaments (summer 2024). I have access to two indoor simulator rooms as well as unlimited outdoor practice (when Ohio weather permits) and during the off-season, I practice almost daily. I know my current scores are not at an “elite” level but I believe that my scores will only continue to improve and that there is a lot of untapped potential.

When playing golf, I love when my coach comes over to help me work through a shot that I may be overthinking. I like to receive tips and criticism to help me be the best that I can be. 

I’m outgoing and viewed as a leader. In January alone, I was nominated by four different teachers for student of the month. I try to be a positive contributor in every situation and while I like to work hard, I like to have fun too.
